1. Introduction

Welcome to Walletto2. This Privacy Policy explains how Veaceslav Cartera (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Walletto2 application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), available on iOS, Android, and the Web.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Walletto2 is operated by Veaceslav Cartera, based in the Republic of Moldova. Our processing of personal data is governed by the Law of the Republic of Moldova No. 133 on Personal Data Protection, as well as applicable provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where relevant.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register for an account.
• Authentication data: if you sign in via third-party providers (Google, Apple, or other providers we may support in the future), we receive your name and email address as shared by those providers.
• Financial data: transaction details, budget categories, income and expense entries, and any other financial information you manually enter into the Service.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and browser type.
• Usage analytics: features used, session duration, interaction patterns, crash reports, and performance data.
• Log data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and referring URLs.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect location data, biometric data, or any data from your device’s contacts, camera, or microphone. We do not link to or access your bank accounts, credit cards, or any external financial institutions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service, including processing your budgeting and expense tracking data.
• To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• To improve, personalize, and optimize the Service based on usage patterns.
• To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support matters.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations under the laws of the Republic of Moldova and other applicable jurisdictions.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on our own self-hosted infrastructure located in the Republic of Moldova. We do not use third-party cloud hosting providers or external data processors for storing your personal data.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Legal compliance: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Moldova or applicable international agreements.
• Protection of rights: to enforce our Terms of Use, protect the safety of our users, or defend our legal rights.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.

6. Third-Party Authentication Providers

When you choose to sign in using Google, Apple, or other third-party authentication providers, those providers may share limited information with us (typically your name and email address) in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party provider you use to sign in.

We do not receive or store your passwords from these third-party providers.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing agreements).

Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

Under the Law of the Republic of Moldova No. 133 on Personal Data Protection, and where applicable under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.
• Right to restrict processing: request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.

• Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. 10. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed in the Republic of Moldova. If you access the Service from outside the Republic of Moldova, please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in the Republic of Moldova, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
